Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 ranks 1st in DxOMark's foldable phone category
While the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 isn't a complete overhaul of its predecessor, the new folding smartphone does bring a couple of upgrades. A slightly tweaked camera setup is one of them, and it seems that this has made the smartphone a better pick for those who prioritize camera performance.
As per DxOMark's camera test results, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is one of the best foldable camera smartphones. It has achieved an overall score of 133, putting it at the top of the list in the category. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has an overall score of 128, which puts it in the 3rd spot on the list.
Worth mentioning that Google Pixel Fold also has the same overall score as the Z Fold 6 (512 GB + $300 Amazon gift card curr. $1,899.99 on Amazon). This makes both of them share the same 1st spot in the foldable smartphone category. Of course, both these two phones are way behind when you compare them with regular smartphones. To be specific, they both hold the 45th position among all the devices that DxOMark has tested.
DxOMark notes that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a good overall photo and video performance for a foldable phone. The phone has also been praised for having a good telephoto sensor that can retail image details well.
However, DxOMark has found many areas for improvement, including better autofocus in low light, better-exposed subjects in night shots, and lower levels of video noises in dark environments. You can read all the test findings on DxOMark's official site.
