Samsung releases new mid-range Galaxy smartphone with 50 MP camera and One UI 6.1
Samsung has introduced another Galaxy F14, despite replacing the original model with the Galaxy F15 earlier this year. Nonetheless, the company has sought to release the Galaxy F14 4G, which relies upon the same chipset as the Galaxy A05s (curr. $114.97 on Amazon). In fact, it seems that more similarities exist between the Galaxy F14 4G and Galaxy A05s than the Galaxy F14 4G and Galaxy F14.
For example, Samsung equips the Galaxy F14 4G with a 6.7-inch IPS display that outputs at 1080p (2,400 x 1,080) and 90 Hz, just like the Galaxy A05s. Additionally, the company has included 50 MP primary, 13 MP front-facing, 2 MP and 2 MP depth cameras, which are also a direct match with the Galaxy A05s' camera set-up. On top of that, Samsung has swapped the 6,000 mAh battery that powers the existing Galaxy F14 with a 5,000 mAh battery while retaining 25 W wired charging.
To round things off, the Galaxy F14 4G is also the same size and weight as the Galaxy A05s. With that being said, the former arrives with Android 14 (One UI 6.1) and not Android 13 like the latter. Unfortunately, the Galaxy F14 4G will only receive OS updates until Android 16 and security updates until 2028. For reference, the Galaxy F14 4G retails for INR 8,999 (~$107) in India with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage; Samsung has not shared details about a global release yet, though.
