OnePlus Open Apex Edition brings a new color, 1TB storage, and more for $1,900
OnePlus has refreshed its foldable, the OnePlus Open. The new variant is called the OnePlus Open Apex Edition and it comes in a new Crimson Shadow colorway with a vegan leather finish. That's not the only new thing with the foldable.
The OnePlus Open Apex Edition also comes with 1TB of storage, double what's available on the standard version. In addition, the Alert Slider has been redesigned as it is textured and sports an orange accent.
There's also a new feature called 'VIP Mode' which can be activated by moving the alert slider to the top. When activated, the phone enters a privacy mode where the cameras and microphones are disabled. There's also a security chip to protect important data and a separate vault for biometrics, media, and documents.

Save for these, the rest of the specs of the OnePlus Open Apex Edition are the same as the standard variant. However, these new additions take the price tag up to a whopping $1,900 in the US and 149,999 (~$1,787) in India. It will also be available in Europe and the UK on August 27 but the price hasn't been revealed yet.
In the US, you can choose one free gift if you purchase it from the official OnePlus store. The available gifts are the Keyboard 81 Pro which normally sells for $219 and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 which has a $179.99 price tag.
