First Dimensity 9400 smartphone series tipped to land with updated design and compact version
Vivo has taken to starting its premium Android smartphone release cycle with devices based on the latest Dimensity-series flagships, and is thought to do so again with the X200 series. However, changes might be made in this generation after all.
The vanilla X200 and X200 Pro will most likely have the same Dimensity 9400 SoC, yet avoid looking practically exactly the same on their launch. According to noted leaker Digital Chat Station, the former's display might be smaller than the conventionally-sized ~6.78-inch panel of the X100 series.
It may still come equipped with the same 1.5K resolution and optical fingerprint sensor of its full-sized forebear, although all 3 of its rear cameras (its 3X periscope zoom lens included) might be 50MP whereas those of the X100 are not.
On that note, Vivo is also now projected to change its premium-grade camera layout in its next generation, as people apparently find that of the X100 series objectionable.
