Vivo is preparing to officially launch the X100 Pro in Europe this month, full details of which we have provided separately. In short, the Vivo X100 Pro will land in a few Eurozone members on February 15 for €1,199. Thus, Vivo's latest flagship will sit among some of the most expensive flagships released of late, excluding the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Galaxy S24 Ultra (curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon).
While Apple, Samsung and their peers also offer cheaper models, Vivo has decided against launching the lesser X100 alongside its more premium sibling. For reference, the X100 and X100 Pro retail for INR 63,999 (~$770) and INR 89,999 (~$1,083), respectively, in India, which converts to €717 and €1,008 at current exchange rates. However, third parties like TradingShenzhen are now selling the X100 for significantly less than the X100 Pro's starting price.
Specifically, the retailer has listed the X100 with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for €757. Hence, the Vivo X100 is cheaper than something like the Google Pixel 8 or the Samsung Galaxy S24. TradingShenzhen adds that multi-language firmware will be installed, although it remains to be seen whether global features like Android Auto will be supported. Likewise, the device could be missing some 5G and LTE bands that are relevant in some countries. Please see our X100 and X100 Pro launch article for a rundown of the hardware differences between the pair.
