Xiaomi 14 series officially confirmed for February 25 global debut
After launching the devices in China back in October, Xiaomi has finally confirmed the imminent launch of its premium devices for the year, the Xiaomi 14 series. As shared on the company's Twitter handle a short while ago, the flagship phones are scheduled to make their grand debuts later this month—on February 25, to be exact.
While not explicitly confirmed, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra could launch on the same date. Specific details of the flagship phone aren't all known but word on the grapevine indicates a quad-50 MP rear camera setup, with the 1-inch Sony LYT900 playing the main role. Cameras are, of course, the focus of the Xiaomi 14 series—evidenced by the teaser tagline "Lens to Legend"—and the flagship phones are set to continue Xiaomi's imaging collaboration with German company Leica.
The Xiaomi 14 will launch for sure on that day, although the Xiaomi 14 Pro is reportedly not a certainty. Current rumors seem to point towards the vanilla Xiaomi 14 being joined only by the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Pricing information for the duo remains unknown, but we wouldn't expect them to be any more expensive than last year's Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Ultra which launched at a whopping €999 and €1,499 respectively.
Xiaomi will only announce Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra models for global market. This is revealed in model numbers on the Xiaomi official website. Xiaomi 14 and Ultra's model numbers are included, but not Xiaomi 14 Pro. Xiaomi 14 Ultra is "N1", Xiaomi 14 Pro is "N2", Xiaomi 14 is "N3". pic.twitter.com/PZy1kW3Tg1
