Xiaomi's upcoming entry-level device, the Redmi A3 4G, is on its way. Leaks have revealed the expectedly budget hardware of the smartphone, but Xiaomi looks set to also equip it with a rear design that appears to be straight out of last year's Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

While its upcoming premium devices like the Xiaomi 14 series and Mix Flip may dominate the headlines right now, it appears Xiaomi is set to debut an entry-level device soon. The Redmi A3 4G, likely Xiaomi's cheapest smartphone for the year, is set to launch shortly, with leaks now revealing its specs and design.

According to Passionate Geekz, the Redmi A3 4G will come equipped with a 6.71-inch HD+ 90 Hz LCD, 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, a 13 MP main camera, an 8 MP selfie camera, a 5000 mAh battery, 10 W charging via a Micro USB port, and Android 13. It's said to be powered by an unnamed MediaTek chipset. Last year's Redmi A2 Plus featured a Helio G36, and we wouldn't expect the Redmi A3 to arrive with a significantly more powerful SoC.

Evidently, the Redmi A3 4G is as entry-level as Android smartphones go, but Xiaomi looks to be making up for the hardware with a premium design. As revealed by GSMArena, the Redmi A3 sports a rear camera design heavily inspired by the flagship Xiaomi 13 Ultra, with a huge, circular camera housing. Unlike the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, however, that housing only plays host to two sensors—likely the aforementioned 13 MP main camera and a depth sensor.
