Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Different camera tuning and faster fingerprint sensor than the Galaxy S23
Everything should already be known about the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but the online community is still discovering new details about how the smartphone has changed compared to its direct predecessor. For example, it turns out that the current Samsung flagship uses a different fingerprint sensor model, which proves to be occasionally faster in direct comparison tests with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Although these differences are only in the millisecond range, the new model appears more consistent over several consecutive repetitions, as the video below demonstrates.

Galaxy S24 Ultra is even faster and more accurate.
Some might think that "it's only a few milliseconds of a difference."
Well, that's true. But those few milliseconds can make a huge difference. pic.twitter.com/o9uZzJOeDr
Specifically, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has the QFS4008 model, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra has the QBT2608. Both continue to be labelled as Qualcomm's 3D Sonic Gen 2, so it is not a new generation, but there are likely to be differences in the details that have a positive effect on the performance of the scanner.
So, the Galaxy S24 Ultra does indeed have a different ultrasonic fingerprint scanner part number compared to previous S Series phones.

However, it turns out that they're both 3D Sonic Gen 2, the same type.

Samsung confirms different priorities for the camera
There are also differences on the camera side. As countless comparison tests in social media over the last few days have suggested, the identical 200-MP cameras still deliver slightly different-looking photos, with some positive changes. For example, some testers rate the colors as more natural, and Samsung also seems to have stepped on the brakes a little in regard to the oft-criticized oversharpening of photos. The technician responsible for cameras in the South Korean Samsung community has now confirmed the former: Compared to the Galaxy S23 series, the S24's photos are supposed to look more three-dimensional and the colors more natural. For the future, Samsung has announced that software updates will be rolled out if necessary.
In the case of the S24 camera photos, compared to the previous version, the colors have been tuned to be more similar to those seen by the human eye and the three-dimensional effect has been improved, but other than that, there have been no major changes. If you want a little more clarity, we recommend that you try activating optimal shooting for each scene in the intelligent optimization option in the camera settings. We will also analyze photos obtained through various channels and strive to always include corrections in future SW updates for matters deemed necessary.
