Samsung Galaxy A35 5G confirmed to be launching soon with Key Island design and with triple camera setup
The National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) in South Korea has revealed the first hands-on photo of the Galaxy A35 5G, a model that will soon sit above the Galaxy A25 5G (curr. $300 on Amazon) in Samsung's Galaxy A series. To recap, the Galaxy A35 5G was last seen alongside the Galaxy A55 5G on Samsung's UAE support pages bearing the model numbers SM-A356E/DS and SM-A556E/DS, respectively. Subsequently, the TENAA published various Galaxy A55 5G hands-on photos, which were joined by equivalents of the Galaxy C55.
As CAD-based renders suggested, the Galaxy A35 5G will be difficult to tell apart visually from the Galaxy A55 5G and even the Galaxy S24 in some cases. On the one hand, the former has three rear-facing cameras arranged vertically in individual lenses. Additionally, Samsung has positioned the Galaxy A35 5G's LED flash to the right of its camera lenses, effectively between its first and middle cameras. For context, that is true of the Galaxy S24 too, which Samsung launched last month alongside the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
On the other hand, the NRRA's image also reveals that the Galaxy A35 5G has a 'Key Island', a design element that appears across this generation's Galaxy A series. Elsewhere, the NRRA returns the model number SM-A356N, of which 'SM-A356' is the root and 'N' denotes a Korean variant. While the device's release date remains unknown for now, previous leaks point towards the Galaxy A35 5G arriving with an Exynos 1380 chipset, which should deliver a decent performance upgrade over the Dimensity 1080 that powers the Galaxy A34 in multi-core optimised tasks.
