Xiaomi POCO F6 and POCO X6 Neo international debuts detailed in new pre-launch leak

According to a new report, Xiaomi has set release windows for two new POCO-branded smartphones, having already released the POCO X6 5G and POCO X6 Pro 5G globally in January. This time, the company is expected to turn to the POCO F6 and POCO X6 Neo, a pair of devices that may debut first in India. While reports about the POCO F6 emerged in early November, these actually related to the eventual POCO X6 Pro 5G (curr. $465 on Amazon).

More recently, it has been claimed that the POCO F6 will actually serve as the global counterpart to the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, another unreleased handset for the time being. Supposedly, Xiaomi will equip both models with 'SM8635', an upcoming Qualcomm chipset that is thought to sit between the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in terms of performance. Reportedly, the POCO F6 is on track for a July 2024 release, a month later than previous leaks suggested.

It is also worth noting that this release window only applies to India. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether Xiaomi will release the POCO F6 in India and in other markets simultaneously, although that is not necessarily the case. By contrast, the POCO X6 Neo is slated to arrive as early as next month, again in India. If earlier leaks are correct, then the POCO X6 Neo will launch with a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 120 Hz AMOLED display, possibly as a re-worked Redmi Note 13 5G or Redmi Note 13R Pro.
