Samsung Galaxy A55 and Galaxy C55 surface in new pre-release leaks

Samsung has not officially commented on the release of the Galaxy A55 or the Galaxy C55 yet. However, there is an increasing amount of evidence that the company is preparing to deliver another two mid-range options at the start of 2024. To recap, both devices have surfaced at various locations in last few months, most recently at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the Galaxy A55's case.

Now, the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy C55 have appeared at the TENAA in China. As is often the case, the TENAA has published a smattering of device photos, examples of which we have embedded below. As expected, the Galaxy A55 sports Samsung's 'Key Island' design language that it debuted last year with the Galaxy A15 4G, Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G (curr. $300 on Amazon). In short, this is merely a raised area on the Galaxy A55's frame within which its hardware buttons sit.

For reference, the Galaxy A55 is anticipated to launch globally with a Exynos 1480 chipset, specifications for which turned up late last year. Meanwhile, the Galaxy C55 (SM-C5560) has simpler design, as well as 50 MP primary and 13 MP front-facing cameras, plus 8 MP and 2 MP auxiliary rear-facing lenses. Moreover, TENAA outlines that the Galaxy C55 features a 6.67-inch and 1080p OLED display supported by a 5,000 mAh battery. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, such as the markets in which the Galaxy C55 will be available.
