Xiaomi POCO X6 Pro launches with Android 14, HyperOS and impressive hardware at attractive pricing

Xiaomi has re-released the Redmi K70E globally, following the device's introduction roughly six weeks ago in China. As various leaks suggested, Xiaomi has re-branded the Redmi K70E as the POCO X6 Pro 5G, albeit with the same underlying hardware. For context, Xiaomi introduced the POCO X6 Pro 5G with the POCO X6 5G and POCO M6 Pro 4G simultaneously during a dedicated global launch event.

As the image embedded below shows, the POCO X6 Pro 5G combines a Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset with a 64 MP triple camera and a 'CrystalRes Flow' AMOLED display operating at 1220p with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the handset runs Xiaomi HyperOS underpinned by Android 14, unlike the POCO X6 5G or POCO M6 Pro 4G. Xiaomi also boasts that the POCO X6 Pro 5G has a 5,000 mm² vapour chamber branded as 'LiquidCool Technology 2.0', as well as dual speakers and an x-axis linear motor.

However, the POCO X6 Pro 5G lacks the 5,500 mAh battery or 90 W wired charging of the Redmi K70E. Instead, Xiaomi has included a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 67 W wired charging, 9% and 26% reductions, respectively. The POCO X6 Pro 5G starts at $299 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage or INR 26,999 in India and €349 in the Eurozone.
