Xiaomi Redmi K70E debuts with attractive pricing and showcases new MediaTek Dimensity chipset
The Redmi K70E is now available in China alongside the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro. As expected, the Redmi K70E is a cheaper alternative to its Redmi K70 series, which Xiaomi has priced as follows:
- 12 GB of RAM/256 GB of storage - CNY 1,999 (~US$282)
- 12 GB of RAM/512 GB of storage - CNY 2,199 (~US$310)
- 16 GB of RAM/1 TB of storage - CNY 2,599 (~US$367)
Nonetheless, the Redmi K70E relies on various notable components, including a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. According to Xiaomi, the large panel outputs at 2,712 x 1,212 pixels with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits peak brightness, a value that outstrips many recent flagships. Additionally, the company has included a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 90 W wired charging, an improvement over the 67 W wired charging that the Redmi K60E offers.
Moreover, Xiaomi has installed a 64 MP and 1/2-inch primary camera with OIS, plus 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP auxiliary and 16 MP front-facing sensors. Meanwhile, the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra underpins proceedings, which combines four ARM Cortex-A715 performance cores with four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores and a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU. Although Xiaomi has not commented on global availability yet, there is evidence that the Redmi K70E may launch outside China as the POCO X6 Pro 5G.
