The Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro have now debuted in China, months before their presumed global releases under different monikers. In short, the pair share many components, including a 160.9 x 75 x 8.2 mm housing and a 6.6-inch AMOLED display. The pair both weigh 209 g, in part because of their identical 5,000 mAh batteries. For reference, while the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro have 10% smaller battery capacities than the Redmi K70E, they support 33% more powerful charging at 120 W.
Additionally, Xiaomi has included the same 1440p display (3,200 x 1,440 pixels) that delivers 4,000 nits peak brightness with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. Likewise, the company has equipped both with the Light Hunter 800 as their primary cameras, a 50 MP sensor with a 1/1.55-inch optical format, 1.0 µm wide pixels and OIS. However, although the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro contain the same 16 MP front-facing cameras, their secondary and tertiary rear-facing cameras differ.
On the one hand, the Redmi K70 carries over its predecessor's 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 2 MP macro cameras. On the other hand, the Redmi K70 Pro combines a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 50 MP telephoto camera capable of 2x optical zoom. Both devices can shoot at up to 8K/24 FPS videos though, but 1080p/60 FPS using their front-facing cameras.
Arguably, the biggest difference between the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro is their chipsets. As pre-release information suggested, Xiaomi has based the Redmi K70 on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powering the Redmi K70 Pro instead. The pair are priced as follows, with a Lamborghini version also offered for the Redmi K70 Pro:
