OnePlus 12R global release extending to Europe with two launch colours planned

Roland Quandt has shed some light on the availability of the OnePlus 12R, the global counterpart to the OnePlus Ace 3. To recap, OnePlus outlined a few details about the former at the start of the month, such as the presence of a 5,500 mAh battery and a 4th generation LTPO AMOLED display. Almost simultaneously, the company released the Ace 3 in China with various high-end components that bely its mid-range pricing.

Typically, OnePlus restricts R series models to India and a few other Asian markets, including last year's OnePlus 11R. According to Quandt, the company has decided to adopt a new approach with the OnePlus 12R, which he claims will also be available in Europe. A recent Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification suggests that the handset could receive a North American release too.

Based on Quandt's leak, it appears that OnePlus intends to sell the OnePlus 12R globally in black and blue, two of the Ace 3's launch colours. Unfortunately, OnePlus 12R pricing remains unknown for now in any market. However, OnePlus has confirmed that both it and the OnePlus 12 will debut globally on January 23.
