MagyarRolex smartphone: First image of the Realme 12 Pro Special Edition appears
Realme has released a teaser image and video (embedded below), both of which show a variant of the Realme 12 Pro that was developed in collaboration with Rolex. Luxury watch designer Ollivier Saveo is said to have had a hand in completing the look of the premium mid-range smartphone.
The back, which is rounded on the left and right sides, has a dark blue leather-look surface complemented with gold color accents. The large, round camera module was inspired by the dial of a Rolex Oyster Perpetual wristwatch and features three cameras and a dark blue color gradient. While the launch date has not yet been confirmed, the date complication on the watch pictured hints at an announcement on January 28.
The rectangular lens is a clear indication that Realme is installing a periscope telephoto camera. The label on the camera module promises 120x zoom, but this is only likely to be possible in conjunction with digital zoom. As far as the display is concerned, earlier rumors point to a 6.7-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display.
There is also a triple camera, which in the Realme 12 Pro+ (as the top model in the series) consists of a 64 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8 MP telephoto camera. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is reportedly installed, so it is a mid-range smartphone, not a flagship, but Realme is still expected to offer the option of 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of flash storage.
