Realme Narzo 70 Pro set to launch with segment-leading camera in March 2024
Realme has decided that it is nearly time to update its Narzo line of Android smartphones with a new Pro variant. The apparent 70-series flagship will still have a round rear camera hump, although it drops the concentric disk look of its predecessor.
The Narzo 70 Pro has also been revealed to bring flat edges to the sub-12 Pro category, whereas the 60 Pro did not. Accordingly, its teasers already paint a picture of a rebranded Realme 12 Plus, especially given its green colorway. Should that be the case, the OEM has spoiled an Easter egg it had been saving for that device's Malaysian debut.
The OEM has been teasing the 12 Plus' main rear camera in vague 'segment-first 50MP OIS' terms, yet gives that of the Narzo 70 Pro away as the "Steady Shot" Sony IMX890 in advance. It is touted to deliver "cleaner images" thanks to the 60 Pro successor's new Master Algorithm.
The upcoming smartphone is now slated to meet Realme's Indian fans on a to-be-determined March 2024 date; in the meantime, the originally INR ~26,999 (~$325) Narzo 60 Pro is currently discounted by up to 11% on Amazon.in.
