MagyarRealme advertises the advantages of the Realme 12 Pro+ via comparison to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
The successor to the Realme 11 Pro+ will be officially unveiled on Monday, January 29. The smartphone will be available in either blue or gold, and the design was developed in collaboration with a luxury watch designer.
The latest teasers for the midrange smartphone are daring, as Realme directly compares its smartphone with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. The company advertises that the periscope telephoto camera of the Realme 12 Pro+ has a larger sensor in 1/2 inch format, which also offers a higher resolution of 64 MP. However, Realme ignores the fact that the camera of the Galaxy S24 Ultra offers 5x optical zoom instead of the 3x zoom of the Realme 12 Pro+.
Instead, Realme concentrates on the maximum 120x hybrid zoom instead of the 100x space zoom of the Samsung flagship. Since the triple optical zoom is combined with 40x digital zoom, the maximum zoom factor only leaves a resolution of 1.6 MP, while Samsung still achieves 2.5 MP at 100x zoom.
The 24 mm f/1.8 main camera uses the 50 MP Sony IMX890 in 1/1.56 inch format. In the video embedded below, Realme displays a number of sample photos. According to rumors, the Realme 12 Pro+ uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 as well as up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of flash storage. Further details about the features are likely to be confirmed in further teasers over the next few days, or at the launch on January 29 at the latest.
