Realme 12 or 12+ shows its face on TENAA ahead of launch
Realme's new premium mid-range 12 Pro series may be followed up by at least 1 vanilla counterpart soon, according to TENAA at least. It has approved a new device called the RMX3866 from the same brand, which is not far off the model number associated with the 12+ from a previous tip from a different national regulator.
Then again, this one purports to reveal how the 12+ (or possibly just plain 12) might look, which is much like the 12 Pro from the back, except finished in teal and what might be silver accents rather than gold.
On the other hand, it seems that this upcoming Realme 11 successor might still appeal to fans of flat edges, as it blends this design feature with the 12 Pro series' rear panel, rather than having it slope down to a thin frame in a way unchanged even after its uptake in the budget Narzo 60 series.
Accordingly, the "12+" looks frankly chunkier and harder to grip by comparison, although those looking to get that iPhone 15 look on a budget might not care. The putative new vanilla mid-ranger is now projected to fit into its line otherwise, however, with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 6 to 16GB of RAM and 50+8+2MP rear cameras.
The "Realme 12+" also has a 4,880mAh battery that might be rounded up to 5,000mAh in its promos. On the other hand, its 5G chipset remains a mystery for now as an octa-core processor with speeds of up to 2.6GHz, a description that matches neither the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 of the 12 Pro or the 7s Gen 2 of the 12 Pro+.
The 12 Pro+: now available on Amazon.in in Submarine Blue
