Realme 13 Plus depicted as CMF Phone 1 rival in new leak

The appearance of the RMX5000 as a new device as a putative Realme smartphone of the immediate future on Geekbench might seem a little spurious based on that model number alone. The OEM tends to go with much less round numbers: for example, the freshly-launched 13 Pro+ is the RMX3921.

However, it seems the model number might be genuine after all, as it has also now appeared on TENAA and the Indonesia Telecom databases, identified outright as the 13+ 5G by the latter. Accordingly, it might represent a great reboot of internal monikers at Realme; it will now be very interesting to see if the rumored GT7 Pro follows in its footsteps.

The world's first RMX5xxx device is now slated to succeed the world's first Sony LYT-600 Super OIS smartphone, and might thus at least maintain its reputation for novel camera quality. Then again, TENAA could only find 50+2MP rear lenses on the newer device, as opposed to 50+8+2MP for the 12+.

In addition, the 13+ will not be winning any battery contests any time soon with a capacity declared at just 4,880mAh. Even so, Realme could also market it in terms of its CPU upgrade.

The RMX5000 seems to be a Dimensity 7300-powered Android 14 smartphone on Geekbench, as opposed to the Dimensity 7050 of the 12+. The latter is technically the faster SoC of the 2 - however, it is also 6nm, whereas the 7300 moves on to MediaTek's newer 4nm architecture.

Then again, the 13+ - slated to succeed a device with a 600-nit 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display - has leaked with 6GB of RAM, whereas the 500-nit CMF Phone 1 can be ordered with 8GB on Amazon.
