Realme 13 5G flaunts SoC upgrade on Geekbench ahead of launch
Realme is currently thought to launch a 5G version of the flat-screened, flat-edged 13, even if it might lack the Trendy Watch Design flourishes of its 12-series forebear. Then again, it might be the more elaborate smartphone on the inside.
The 12 5G debuted in India with the Dimensity 6100+ SoC - however, its successor might get the version of that chipset with 2 of its faster cores overclocked by 10% to 2.4GHz. That rumor has been sparked by the appearance of a device called the "realme RMX3951" on Geekbench.
However, the apparent speed boost conferred by the Dimensity 6300 in that benchmark listing is contradicted by the presence of the suspiciously similar RMX3952 on the TENAA database with the slower 6100+.
Then again, the latter is also now thought to be the Realme 13 5G for the Chinese market, while the RMX3951 might be a global version. It makes do with 8GB of RAM on Geekbench, although the RMX3952 might have up to 16GB.
Should that be the case, the launch of the 13 5G (and 13+ 5G, perhaps) might be just around the corner, if the 28% discount for the 12 5G on Amazon.in so that it starts at INR 15,200 (~$181) is anything to judge by.
