The Realme GT6 is advertised as having an impressively bright AMOLED screen. In our review of the smartphone, we came to a different conclusion, which was somewhat disappointing. This would have been a real unique selling point and would have done the GT6 a lot of good.

While the Realme GT6 certainly doesn't have any real deal-breakers in our review, it is certainly not a flagship killer either. Realme's GT series has always stood for maximum performance at flagship level, as was the case with the Realme GT 5. With the GT6, however, the manufacturer breaks with with tradition, since the upper mid-range smartphone does not have a current high-end chipset. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is installed, which is undoubtedly powerful, but does not come close to the performance of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It doesn't even match the overall performance of the Realme GT5 and its Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, so the Realme GT6 is forced to take a back seat, especially when it comes to graphics.

Another point of criticism of the Realme GT6 in our review is the absence of the supposedly extremely high brightness of the 8T LTPO display. In theory, the mid-range phone should have the brightest screen in a smartphone for under $1,000 and reach an impressive brightness of 6,000 cd/m². However, we did not reach the advertised peak brightness in our measurements, neither when playing a 4K HDR pattern video (956 cd/m²) nor with an even distribution of bright and dark areas (APL18, 1,539 cd/m²).

Otherwise, the Realme GT6 is a very solid all-rounder that may appeal to gamers. More details and in-depth information about the mid-range smartphone can be found here
