The ~48 hour countdown to the launch of the Realme 13 Pro Series has begun - nevertheless, the OEM has found time to fit some potentially crucial spec teasers in for the impending smartphones.
Realme has now confirmed that the line will have 80W SuperVOOC technology for USB-C charging. Moreover, the battery in question will be larger at 5,200mAh. The company has yet to specify whether the upgrade will be exclusive to the higher-end 13 Pro Plus (or Pro+), although the 12 Pro series did have a 67W SuperVOOC/5,000mAh system across the board.
The 13 Pro, Pro+ or both will also be SGS-certified for "5-star Drop Resistance" at launch - although the rating will only apply to their Emerald Green colorway, as it is the only one with a vegan leather rear panel.
Accordingly, the all-glass Monet Design alternatives might be a bit more fragile - however, it seems their displays will be covered by Corning Gorilla Glass - albeit a new variant called 7i rather than something like Victus.
Finally, Realme has announced that it has more Qualcomm Snapdragon 7-series silicon in the wings for the 13 Pro series, a spec that might apply to the top-end Plus model in that case. Meanwhile, the 12 Pro series now starts at just INR 21,990 (~$263) on Amazon.in.
