Next-gen ~$400 smartphone with generational charging upgrade leaks out
Realme touts its 12 Pro series as the best line of camera-centric smartphones that start at under INR 30,000 (~$360, as they currently do on Amazon in India), and now it looks like their 13-series successors with more of the same (at the least) are on the way.
One of them has allegedly been spotted on the FCC database as of late. It has been registered as the RMX3921, but is thought to be the Realme 13 Pro Plus (or Pro+) due to its upgraded 80W SuperVOOC power brick (the VCB80AUH), whereas even the 12 Pro+ uses the 67W version.
Amusingly, Realme may have inadvertently let slip that this "13 Pro+" might be re-branded as an OPPO smartphone in some regions, as the company sent it to the FCC running ColorOS 14.0.0 rather than Realme UI 5.0.
In any case, it seems the new device will definitely boot Android 14 out of the box.
Based on Realme's typical numerical series release cycle, this alleged 13-series flagship might be revealed very soon, now that the second half of 2024 has arrived.
