OPPO Reno13 and 13 Pro tipped to launch as mid-range Android smartphones with flagship-killing new batteries
OPPO's K12 debuted with the OEM's latest battery for premium mid-range Android smartphones, which is also one of its largest and fastest-charging to date. However, according to famed leaker Digital Chat Station, the OEM is about to move beyond its 5,500mAh technology already with the upcoming Reno13 series.
Not only that, but each member of that line gets its own uniquely-sized battery for the first time since the 10 series, with a 5,600mAh (typical, although it might be rated for 5,490mAh) spec for the vanilla 13, while the 13 Pro upgrades to a whopping typical capacity of 5,900mAh (or a rated capacity of 5,770mAh).
Both new batteries are projected to be single-cell, as opposed to dual-cell in the higher-end Find X8 series. However, the Reno13 series is also now slated to upgrade to the same 100W SuperVOOC wired charging technology as the next-gen flagships: an unprecedented improvement for the vanilla 13, if so.
Accordingly, it might be able to use OnePlus' 100W adapter, which uses the same SuperVOOC technology and is available to buy on Amazon.
