OPPO Pad3 tipped to launch with ColorOS 15 and in more configurations than OnePlus twin
The successor to ColorOS 14 is to get more iOS-friendly in that it should make it easier for an iPhone user to switch to an OPPO smartphone and vice versa.
On that note, ColorOS 15 is also now tipped to support its own take on Apple's Dynamic Island, according to Digital Chat Station. The prolific tipster claims that OPPO's version of the software-based mini-window can expand in 2 different ways and will be compatible with third-party apps.
Then again, the upcoming major software upgrade will also improve on things that ColorOS is better known for, its Always-On Displays, animations and general performance included.
One device that comes with some or all of these features out of the box might be the Pad3: a rumored re-brand of the (ironically-named) Pad 2 from OPPO's twin brand OnePlus, albeit in a different choice of gold and blue colorways, according to Digital Chat Station.
Nevertheless, that might confer the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC on the OPPO Pad3, not to mention choices of 8GB, 12GB or 16GB RAM SKUs with as much as 512GB of internal storage, according to the latest rumors.
It is now projected to be unleashed in the last quarter of 2024, along with OPPO's new generation of flagship Find X8-series Android smartphones (the higher-end of which was referred to as the Pro rather than the Ultra in the latest leak, interestingly); successors to the Enco X2 TWS earbuds and the Reno13 series of sub-flagship smartphones.
