Realme has announced that it will add a new member to its Narzo line of Android smartphones later in April 2024. The 70x is already touted to outpace other new devices of its price in terms of display quality and charging technology, even if they have the same specs on paper. It also offers an up-to-date flat-edged design with what might be a 50MP main rear camera.

2024's next Narzo-series smartphone has already been revealed to look suspiciously like China's Realme 12x, albeit with a fresh blue paint-job with a swooping new accent under its round rear camera hump.

Both devices have a 45W SuperVOOC-enabled 5,000mAh battery, backed to propel the 70x to the top of the charging speed leaderboard at a price-point that still typically restricts the consumer to options with the legacy 18W rate (according to Realme, at least).

The 70x also makes some P series-esque claims for its "Ultra Smooth" 120Hz display, touted to become the best that INR 12,000 (~$144) or less can buy very soon. Then again, it should be noted that the 12x' equally fast screen is IPS rather than AMOLED as in the flagship 70 Pro, which currently starts at INR 19,999 (~$240).

The Narzo 70x is poised for an imminent April 24, 2024 introduction to the Indian market, with sales starting via channels such as Amazon and Realme itself soon thereafter.
