Motorola Moto G64: New mid-range smartphone arrives with debut for MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset
Motorola has expanded the Moto G series with the Moto G64, one of several smartphones that the company has introduced today. However, while Motorola has announced the Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Ultra globally, it has limited the Moto G64 to its Indian audiences. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether the company plans to release the Moto G64 internationally for now.
At any rate, the device serves as the debut for the Dimensity 7025, a slightly faster version of the Dimensity 7020 that Motorola equips with Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2 GHz. Additionally, the Moto G64 features a 6,000 mAh battery, a 120 Hz IPS display that outputs at 1080p and measures 6.5-inches across, plus a MicroSD card reader for going beyond its peak 256 GB storage offering. On top of that, the Moto G64 contains the following cameras:
- Primary: 50 MP, f/1.8, 0.61 µm, PDAF, OIS
- Ultra-wide-angle: 8 MP, f/2.2, 1.12 µm, 118˚ FoV, AF
- Front-facing: 16 MP, f/2.4, 1.0 µm
The Moto G64 starts at INR 14,999 (~$179) in India with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, Flipkart and Motorola will sell the handset with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage but for INR 16,999 (~$203). Please note that both memory configurations will be available in Ice Lilac, Mint Green and Pearl Blue finishes.
