Realme C65 5G debuts with 'new' MediaTek silicon and 'Dynamic Button' shortcuts
Realme seeks to give this new budget smartphone a veneer of Apple style with a first-gen Dynamic Button to go with a Mini Capsule for its 120Hz, up to 625-nit Eye Care (albeit LCD) display with Rainwater Smart Touch - however, the former does not get a separate dedicated physical key.
Instead, it is a way of re-mapping the device's standard side power button (located next to the volume rocker as usual) so that it opens shortcuts to a selection of modes or tools (from a Do Not Disturb setting to Realme UI 5.0's inbuilt activity-tracking features) in addition to its normal screen-waking functions.
The new option replaces a fingerprint sensor in this new device. In addition, while the C65 5G lives up to the 5,000mAh battery size standard, it may also spend ages re-fueling as the smartphone's USB-C charging speed is restricted to 15 watts (W).
The C65 5G is also touted to offer a 50MP "AI" main camera to go with its new updated MediaTek Dimensity 6300 platform - not to mention a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It comes with up to 6GB of RAM out of the box, but also starts at just INR 12,496 (~$150) on Amazon.in with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage packed into in its almost Realme 12-esque chassis finished in Feather Green or Glowing Black.
