In addition to Buds Air6 Pro, Realme also launches the basic version of its headphones - Buds Air6. Unsurprisingly, there are only a few differences in the basic concept, but the acoustic system does differ significantly. For example, the Buds Air6 only have one driver (12.4 mm diameter) and not two. Active noise cancellation is available, disturbing ambient sounds can be reduced by up to 50 dB. To put this into perspective: a reduction of 10 dB corresponds to a perceived halving of the volume.
The headphones support a minimum latency of 55 milliseconds, which can be useful when playing games and watching videos to ensure lip sync. LHDC 5.0 is supported, which should allow wireless audio. AAC and SBC are also supported. With Realme Link, it is possible to make further configurations, for example with regard to active noise suppression.
IP55 certification is advertised, meaning that the headphones can also be used in the rain, for example. Even if this is not strictly speaking what the certification says, this should also provide a certain resistance to sweat. The battery life of the individual headphones is specified as up to 6.5 hours with ANC activated, while the total runtime with intermediate charges is estimated at 26 hours.
In China, the Realme Buds Air6 are available for the equivalent of around 35 euros, information on the global release is not yet available. The predecessors are also available in Germany.
