The race to be the first to launch an Android smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be won by Realme, according to a prolific and typically reliable leaker. The new GT-series flagship might also thus be first to launch with a significant upgrade in terms of battery size and rear camera hardware.

The Realme GT6 Pro has been forecast to be one of a crop of upcoming top-end Android smartphones with a significant battery upgrade. However, one of Digital Chat Station's latest Weibo posts suggest that it might in fact be called the GT7 Pro instead.

It is also now slated to beat rivals such as the OPPO Find X8 Ultra and OnePlus 13 to debut with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 silicon from Qualcomm. Its enlarged battery is also now believed to be of the advanced silicon-carbon type.

The device is also tipped to launch with an on-trend periscope zoom camera. Finally, its rumored impending Pro upgrade is backed to launch outside China, whereas its predecessor did not.

The smartphone is projected to launch as a successor to the GT5 Pro, a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

The Realme GT 6T: now available on Amazon in India.
