Realme has expanded the GT Neo6 series with the standard GT Neo 6, having kicked off the series almost a month ago with the GT Neo6 SE. As expected, the GT Neo6 builds on the GT Neo6 SE by switching its Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chipset for the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Theoretically more powerful thanks to boosted CPU clock speeds and a better GPU, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 features the same CPU cores as the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3.
Additionally, the GT Neo6 betters the GT Neo6 SE by offering 120 W wired charging, compared to the latter's peak 100 W wattage. As a result, the GT Neo6 should go from 1% to 50% charge in 10 minutes, which is 2 minutes faster than the GT Neo6 SE. The GT Neo6 and GT Neo6 SE share plenty of other hardware though, such as:
- 5,500 mAh battery
- 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, 120 Hz, 2,780 x 1,264 pixels, 1,600 (HBM)/6,000 nits (peak) brightness
- 50 MP primary camera (Sony IMX882, OIS, 1/1.95-inch optical format)
- 32 MP front-facing camera (1/2.74-inch optical format)
- 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (1/4.0-inch optical format)
Realme has only revealed the GT Neo6 in China for now, where it is available in green, purple and silver colour options. For reference, the handset starts at CNY 2,099 (~$290) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage but can be configured with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage for CNY 2,999 (~$415). Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether the GT Neo6 will be available internationally at this stage.
