Samsung introduces Galaxy C55 with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and 50MP selfie camera, featuring a leather back
After the Galaxy A55 (approx. 380 euros on Amazon) and the Galaxy M55, Samsung presents the Galaxy C55. The latest mid-range smartphone from the manufacturer is almost identical to the Galaxy M55, but Samsung has given the back a leather look and a slightly rounded frame.
The Galaxy C55 has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The 50-megapixel f/2.4 selfie camera sits in a central punch-hole, while the rear features a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, an 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2 MP sensor. The smartphone can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second and 720p slow-motion videos at 240 fps.
Samsung installed a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 - a 4 nm ARM chip from 2022, which has four ARM Cortex-A710 performance cores with clock frequencies of up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores at 1.8 GHz. The 5,000 mAh battery can be charged via USB-C with up to 45 watts. A fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, a dual SIM slot, and a microSD card reader round off the features. The Galaxy C55 comes with Android 14 and is set to receive four major Android updates and five years of security patches.
