Terrible Apple FineWoven reportedly gets discontinued with company seemingly moving to new material
Shortly after Apple introduced the eco-friendly FineWoven accessories alongside the iPhone 15 series, both consumers and media were quick to blast them as terrible owing to FineWoven’s disappointing durability. For instance, 9to5Mac'x Chance Miller labeled the design of the FineWoven case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max as "fundamentally bad" since not only did the case look quite rough after just 48 hours of use but also proved to be uncomfortable to hold for longer periods.
The situation becomes even worse when you consider that a FineWoven iPhone 15 case costs $59, a price for which you can find plenty of leather options on Amazon.
Fortunately, Apple may finally have decided to move away from FineWoven. According to leaker Kosutami on X, Apple is ending the production of FineWoven accessories as “all the production line was stopped and removed”. The company is supposedly transitioning to a new non-leather material.
FineWoven was the result of Apple moving away from leather products that have a significant carbon footprint. So, we can expect the new material to also be eco-friendly.
Finally, although we have no idea when accessories made with the material might debut, it is quite reasonable to assume the accessories to be released with this year’s iPhone 16 series.
FineWoven has gone.

Since its durability were bad.
All the production line was stopped and removed.
Apple would move to another material—Again, not the leather.
So see ya'll in leather hell.
