OnePlus 12 Aqua Touch display feature tested along with durability in new video
The OnePlus 12 makes for one of the most uneventful JerryRigEverything videos of all time, thereby leaving the catastrophic legacy of the 10 Pro behind - or might have, were it not for its new, high-end panel from BOE.
It confers an Aqua Touch feature on the display, an exclusive feature rated to correct for the potential impact of small droplets of liquid on normal touch-responses. It was indeed found to help it (narrowly) beat the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra in a post-spritzing typing test, whereas the iPhone 15 Pro succumbed to "pure chaos" under the same conditions.
Accordingly, while the 12 may lack the Ceramic Shield of Apple's flagships to "scratch at a level 6, with deeper grooves at a level 7", or the new anti-glare feature of the S24 Ultra, it might still be the best premium smartphone of 2024 at helping the user keep right on texting even in the pouring rain.
In addition, the OnePlus 12 can be had with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for just $799.99 on Amazon, which is $500 less than can be said for its Samsung rival with the same specs right now.
