Next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked launch event date detailed months before official reveal
Details about Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event are moving quickly. Earlier today, a South Korean outlet claimed that the company would be bringing forward the date of its summer hardware launch event, much like it did for last month's Galaxy S24 series release. While The Bell did not reveal a specific date, it asserted that 6th generation Galaxy Z series smartphones would debut 'in mid-July'.
Subsequently, SamMobile has narrowed a potential date to the second week of July. For reference, this week runs between July 7 and July 13, assuming the South Korean custom of a week starting on a Sunday rather than a Monday. Seemingly, SamMobile has not received confirmation of an exact date, though.
Nonetheless, Samsung typically hosts hardware launch events on Wednesdays, with Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24 and fifth-generation Galaxy Z series smartphones arriving on February 1 2023, July 26 2023 and January 17 2024, respectively. Consequently, SamMobile has inferred that this summer's Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 10, which is the same 350-day gap that existed between the releases of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 series. For now, Samsung is expected to bring the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 to its July hardware event, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra and the Galaxy Watch7 series.
