Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 design revealed: Larger cover display not on the cards
Shortly after showing off the Galaxy S24 Ultra-inspired Galaxy Z Fold6, renowned leaker OnLeaks (via Smartprix) has given us a look at what its younger sibling, the Galaxy Z Flip6 has in store. The renders come shortly after Samsung's plans of a mid-July launch for its foldables surfaced.
Contrary to earlier leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will keep its predecessor's 3.4-inch cover screen. For the most part, it is largely identical to its predecessor except for a few changes to its dimensions (165.0mm x 71.7mm x 7.4mm vs 165.1 mm x 71.9mm x 6.9mm on the Galaxy Z Flip5). It sticks with a dual-camera layout at the back, with both modules laid side-by-side. At the back hinge, there's prominent Samsung branding.
Everything else including the USB-C port, speaker grilles, SIM card slot, power button and volume rockers are still where they used to be. The power button doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. Whether or not the Galaxy Z Flip6 will get a camera upgrade this generation remains to be seen. However, its extra thickness subtly hints at a larger battery.
