Noted X leaker @Tech_Reve opines Samsung could launch this year's Galaxy Z Flip6 with an Exynos 2400. If true, this will be the first Galaxy Z Flip device to not launch with a Snapdragon SoC.

Samsung is all set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 sometime in July this year. The former could feature one of the largest cover screens found on a Galaxy Z Flip device. X leaker @Tech_Reve has now hinted at another major change for the foldable.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 could launch with an Exynos 2400, making it the first of its kind. On the other hand, another leaker @OreXDA, is convinced that Samsung will stick with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. Either way, if the mid-July launch window is accurate, it shouldn't be long before we find out for sure.

Alternatively, Samsung could end up using both chips on the Galaxy Z Fold6 it did with the Galaxy S24 series ($804 on Amazon). While the performance difference between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and Exynos 2400 isn't as egregious as previous generations, our in-depth Galaxy S24 review found the Exynos 2400 to be less power efficient compared to the Snapdragon chip.

On a device like the Galaxy Z Flip device with an already small battery, this could result in a noticeable decrease in battery life. It makes more sense for Samsung to use its in-house AP on the affordable Galaxy Z Fold6 FE instead of a hot seller like the Galaxy Z Flip6.
