Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6: Leaker confirms weight, dimensions, and existence of Ultra model
More details of the Galaxy Z Fold6 have leaked over the past few weeks. The premium foldable will make its grand debut at Unpacked later in the year, but new leaks have now revealed information on its physical dimensions.
As shared by Ice Universe, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is set to be noticeably lighter than its predecessor. The foldable is said to weigh in at 239g, identical to the OnePlus Open, and 14g lighter than last year's Galaxy Z Fold5. In fact, that would make the Galaxy Z Fold6 one of the lightest foldables on the market—only noticeably bested by the new Vivo X Fold3.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 will be quite slim as well, with a folded thickness of 12.1mm and an unfolded thickness of 5.6mm. That would make the Z Fold6 slimmer than both the OnePlus Open and Google Pixel Fold when unfolded. In addition, the Z Fold6 is said to sport a 7.6-inch internal screen with a 7:6 ratio, and a 6.3-inch external screen with a 22:9 ratio. Both displays are tipped to have improved resolutions, compared to the Galaxy Z Fold5.
Lastly, corroborating recent reports, Ice Universe appears to have confirmed the existence of a Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra which will sit above the standard Galaxy Z Fold6. Reports on Samsung's plans for the lineup have been conflicting but it's all but confirmed that there will be an additional Galaxy Z Fold6 model, likely planned to launch even later in the year than the standard one.
