Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 battery and charging specs stagnate some more in new leak
The long-running Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 battery size mystery has been solved, according to a prolific leaker. Ice Universe claims to have found out that it will have the same total capacity as its predecessor, and will charge at roughly the same speed via its USB-C port to boot.
The tipster asserts that the alleged specs are "final", meaning that the Z Fold6 will indeed launch as yet another 4,400mAh/25W wired charging device on its launch. The new report might lend weight to the theory that it will actually launch as a vanilla flagship foldable subordinate to an inaugural Ultra variant of improved specs, thereby meeting the same fate as the Vivo X Fold3 in 2024.
However, should that be the case, the Z Fold6 will not be in a position to gain the advantage on its new Vivo counterpart in these terms, as even the non-Pro Fold3 has a relatively massive 5,500mAh battery system, based on advanced silicon-carbon tech to boot. It also charges at up to 80W, albeit without the wireless charging specs of the Z Fold series.
Then again, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is also believed to launch as a super-light Samsung foldable thanks to a first-gen titanium frame - although the X Fold3 has managed to slim down to 219 grams without one.
