Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 batteries ID'ed in new leak
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 are projected to land thinner and lighter than their respective predecessors, yet also somehow have larger batteries. Now, a new leak might add weight to this new theory.
Then again, it also indicates that both new devices will have 2 batteries apiece, just like their forebears. Their model numbers have been outed as EB-BF956ABY and EB-BF957ABY for the Z Fold 6, whereas those of the Z Flip 6 are EB-BF741ABY and EB-BF742ABY.
These identifiers correspond to the supposed model numbers of the devices themselves (SM-F956x and SM-F742x respectively) and are, as such, definitely different from those of the previous Galaxy Z Fold5/Flip5 battery generation.
However, unfortunately, all of that new information cannot confirm a change in actual battery capacity as yet. Similarly, not even live images of one set of the batteries can be used to determine whether they have become thinner or not, although they seem to have a footprint at least equal to their 2023 counterparts.
