Vivo X Fold3 and 3 Pro tipped to launch unusually early in 2024
The vanilla Vivo X Fold3 is, however unfortunately for it, looking increasingly like an honestly gimped 2024 premium foldable device with its predecessor's chipset and no wireless charging. Now, it also looks like its wired charging speed is also capped at 80W, which, while possibly sounding fast on paper, is also a downgrade on the 120W spec of the X Fold2.
That new detail allegedly comes courtesy of the 3C regulatory group, which has certified a device with the X Fold3's rumored model number to do no better than 11V/7.3A using a custom Vivo charger. Accordingly, those looking for the most advanced X Fold variant yet might have to look to the hypothetical Pro version instead. Now, a leaker purports to tell us when they might start to do so.
Well-known tipster Bald Panda is back with a Weibo post illustrating a "foldably tentative" window of 3 days starting with the last Tuesday of this month (March 26, 2024). It is thought to pertain to a rough date for the X Fold3 launch event, even though the previous generation did not emerge in China until April 2023.
