Volta 120W Travel Adapter preview hints at sizeable launch discount
Multi-device fast chargers are great accessories - until you take it out of your bag abroad and realize it is single-region only. The myriad of "universal travel adapters" are there on Amazon to supposedly serve this need - however, as many of the more affordable of them might charge at only around 20W, even with USB-C ports, they can seem like a false economy.
Some recent examples such as the Zendure Passport III and less brand-identifiable Epicka Universal Adapter address this issue with a top rated output of 65W and 70W respectively. However, Volta asserts that its upcoming rival will outdo both.
2 of its USB-C ports are rated for up to 100W, with 20W out of a third, to fulfill its "120W GaN III Tech" hype. Nevertheless, it still conceals 4 of the world's more prominent socket-prongs (those typically associated with the EU, US, the UK and Australia), used in "200+ countries" (according to Volta, at least) worldwide, deployed via the typical "Slide and Click" mechanism.
The Volta 120W Travel Adapter - which might also launch as the All-in-One TravelGo Adapter - also integrates a single AC outlet, rated for up 1,000W of output with a 100V input or up to 2,500W at 250V. It, like the Passport III, has a 10A fuse - however, unlike the Zendure accessory, it also packs a spare.
Volta has mentioned a price of $48.99 for the TechGo - which might have something to do with its upcoming up to 65% discount, available on its as-yet unspecified launch date.
