UGREEN unveils new Nexode Pro 160W 4-Port GaN Fast Charger
UGREEN has launched the Nexode Pro 160W 4-Port GaN Fast Charger in China. Plus, partially complete product pages on the company’s US and EU websites suggest that the accessory could soon reach these markets. The charger supports PD 3.1 fast charging, with three USB-C ports and one USB-A port.
The Nexode Pro 160W charging plug’s USB-C ports have a maximum power of 140W, 100W and 30W, with the USB-A capable of outputs up to 22.5W. When using two USB-C ports, you can power two laptops at 100W and 60W. With all four outputs in use, the first two USB-C outputs are limited to 65W, with the third USB-C and USB-A providing 7.5W. The new model has a similar design to the Nexode 140W USB C GaN 3 Ports Wall Charger. According to UGREEN, the model is 21% smaller than the first generation of the 140W charger, measuring 5.1 x 5.1 x 1.6-in (~130 x 130 x 40 mm) and weighing 11.1 oz (~315 g). The compact nature of the gadget is thanks in part to AirPyra stacking technology.
Plus, the device has 11 safety features, including over 1,000 temperature checks per second. You can buy the UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W 4-Port GaN Fast Charger in China for 429 yuan (~US$60). While the US product page does not provide a price for the gadget, the EU site suggests the model will retail for €55.99. It is unclear precisely when the new charger will launch in these markets.
