Zendure has launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for its SuperBase V home energy storage system. The device uses a solid-state battery, which the company claims is a market first, with up to 64 kWh capacity. One unit has a maximum power output of 3,800 W and can be recharged via solar panels.

The Zendure SuperBase V home energy storage system is now crowdfunding via Kickstarter. The campaign has already raised nearly £1.8 million (~US$2.1 million), with 46 days still to go, at the time of writing. The company claims it is the only power bank on the market that uses a semi-solid state battery to increase storage capacity and improve safety. The home energy storage system has dual 120 V/240 V output and dual input up to 6,600W.

With scalable 6.4 to 64 kWh capacity, Zendure claims you could power a typical household with the gadget for over a week during an outage, assuming you reduce your power consumption. You can recharge the device via solar panels at up to 3,000 W in around three hours or at 3,600 W via a wall outlet in 2.5 hours. Each unit has a maximum output of 3,800 W; you can link two devices for a 7,600 W output. The power station has a range of ports, including car and AC outputs. You can view and manage your energy consumption in the accompanying app and control the device with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands.

You can currently receive the Zendure SuperBase V4600 home energy storage system when you pledge US$2,499 to the Kickstarter campaign. This is a 46% discount, as the gadget is expected to retail for US$4,599 in the future. The company is only shipping to certain countries, such as the US, UK, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands, with deliveries expected to be made this November.
