During the supply chain crunch last year, some Tesla car batches had to ship without various accoutrements such as equipped USB ports and even working wireless charging pads. While they were called to be retrofitted later, some who missed the pad could get the next best thing - Tesla's own portable wireless charging accessory which quickly went out of stock.
One of the most popular devices Tesla sells, the charger comes in five colors - Midnight Silver Metallic, Deep Blue Metallic, Red Multi-Coat, Pearl White Multi-Coat and Solid Black - to match your Tesla vehicle color. The USB-PD output goes up to 18W and you can also charge with a USB-C cable if you don't want to waste some of the 10,000 mAh capacity in the transfer.
Tesla's portable wireless charger is back in stock now at its usual US$70 price and can be ordered from the company's online store accessory section immediately. Despite being pictured with various Apple devices, it is not MagSafe-compatible.
The flashiest red color seems to be what most people are going for to match with their Teslas, so it's now out of stock again and you may want to hurry if you want to scoop one as the other colors may get sold out, too. Tesla's Qi charger can also be topped up directly from your vehicle's wireless pad as an added convenience.
