Vivo's impending new foldable Android flagship smartphone the Vivo X Fold Plus (or Fold+) has popped up on the Wireless Power Consortium's website. The new leak links the device to 11 watt (W) wireless charging, which, as its predecessor was rated to charge much faster the same way, is a little odd.

Vivo will not launch its second foldable smartphone until tomorrow (September 26, 2022); however, leaks surrounding the probably super-premium Android device are still coming thick and fast. Many of them have come from its own maker, which has, for example, revealed that it will ship with 80W wired charging.

This would be an upgrade over the 66W profile of the smartphone's immediate X Fold predecessor. However, that makes a less first-party tip all the more potentially confusing. It consists of a registration for the Plus model to use wireless charging at 11W.

This might mean that it can work as a reverse wireless charger at that rate - which, as the X Fold was also rated for the same feature, but at 10W, is again an upgrade (however slight).

Therefore, this leak may leave the smartphone's wireless charging specs a mystery, particularly as it has 50W to match or exceed in this respect.
