Leak seemingly confirms existence of "Galaxy A Fold", Galaxy Z Flip6, others
As far back as 2022, reports already began to surface about Samsung's supposed plans to release a cheaper foldable that would cost considerably less than the main Galaxy Fold device for the year. It appears such a device could finally materialize this year, in light of new information.
As revealed by the ever-reliable Roland Quandt, Samsung seemingly has a "Lite" model of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 in the works. The leaker shared a number of internal codenames for Samsung's upcoming devices, with one of them being "Q6A". That wouldn't mean much, except that the Galaxy Z Fold6 itself is internally coded as "Q6", heavily hinting at "Q6A" being a variant of it.
While there's little known about the rumored, cheaper Galaxy foldable, Samsung already debunked reports of an ultra-affordable foldable smartphone last year. Even if the "Galaxy A Fold"—or however it ends up being branded—launches this year, it's more likely it will arrive with an MSRP in the region of $1000 to $1200. That'd still make it the cheapest foldable on the market, outside of Motorola's clamshell-style Razr foldables.
In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold6—"Q6", the source also confirms the existence of the Galaxy Z Flip6 (SM-F741, "B6), and what could be the Galaxy Tab S10+ (SM-X828).
