Samsung rumoured to have Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 refreshes in development
The first signs of the Galaxy Watch7 series recently turned up online, details of which we have covered separately. While Samsung is expected to replace the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic towards the end of the summer, a cheaper option is also now rumoured. Allegedly, the company is preparing a new version of the Galaxy Watch4 under the name Galaxy Watch4 (2024). Samsung's nostalgia trip is not anticipated to stop there, either.
According to Roland Quandt, the company has also developed the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), the 2022 refresh of which it no longer sells. Arguably, although the Galaxy Watch4 (2024) is an oddity itself in Samsung's product stack, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) would be the third tablet sold under the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite name after the original model launched in April 2020. Presumably, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite would be in line for another SoC upgrade, with Samsung swapping the Exynos 9611 in 2022 for the Snapdragon 720G in some markets and the Snapdragon 732G in others.
All things considered, the Galaxy Watch4 (2024) and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) are unlikely to debut alongside new flagship models. Going off recent 'Fan Edition' releases like the Galaxy S23 FE, it would seem that these rehashes could arrive simultaneously through a press release rather than during a dedicated launch event. Unfortunately, Quandt has not shared any other details about the Galaxy Watch4 (2024) or Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) yet, nor has more information come to light from other sources.
