Samsung has finally presented the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022 Edition), over a month after the tablet made its way onto Amazon in various markets. As expected, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022 Edition) relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset and 4 GB of RAM, plus 64 GB or 128 GB GB of expandable storage. For reference, Samsung claims that the tablet supports up to 1 TB microSD cards.
Theoretically, the Snapdragon 720G should deliver significant performance improvements over the Exynos 9611 in the original Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. According to our database, the Snapdragon 720G is over a third faster than the Exynos 9611, in part thanks to the former's Adreno 618 GPU. Additionally, the 2022 refresh contains a 10.4-inch display that resolves at 2,000 x 1,200 pixels and 60 Hz.
Elsewhere, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022 Edition) with a 7,040 mAh battery, an 8 MP rear-facing camera, a 5 MP front-facing camera, a 3.5 mm jack and a USB Type-C port that supports 15 W charging. At launch, Samsung will offer the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022 Edition) in Angora Blue and Oxford Grey colour options, but only the latter can be configured with 128 GB of storage. Prices for the tablet start at €379 with 64 GB of storage and Wi-Fi-only connectivity and rise to €439 for the 128 GB edition. Alternatively, Samsung sells LTE models with 64 GB and 128 GB of storage for €439 and €479, respectively.
Incidentally, Samsung pre-installs One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 with all configurations, as well as including an S Pen. Currently, Samsung bundles a free Targus Slim Cover Keyboard case with pre-orders too. Seemingly, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022 Edition) will begin shipping later this month.
